Hey Sparkles! Happy Family Friday! In today’s blog post, I will do a movie review on the (somewhat) new movie Incredibles 2.
Incredibles 2 Movie Review – Warning: Spoiler alert
The basic plot of the movie is this: The movie picks up where it left off, in the middle of the battle with the Underminer. They get the drill away from the Underminer, but he escapes. Helen Parr (Mrs. Incredible) gets a new job. Her job is to be Elastagirl again and convince the public that supers should be legal again. Bob Parr has to stay home and keep the children. Parenting is not as easy as it looks: Violet is having problems with her crush, who got brainwiped of their date because he saw her in her super suit. Dash is having problems with fractions, and baby Jack-Jack is trying to figure out how to control his powers. The only problem with Mrs. Incredible’s mission is the work against her from the new villain Screenslaver, who hypnotizes people through an electronic screen. Elastagirl can break the screens, but it will take the whole family of supers and the team of misfit heroes to save the day before a drastic political disaster happens. Ironically, Jack-Jack saves the hypnotized supers from Screenslaver. You will have to see the whole movie to find out who is smart enough to be the Screenslaver.
It was a beautiful movie with themes of family, parenting, and of course, saving the world. My favorite scene was the Jack-Jack vs. Racoon scene. You can watch it here. I really identify with poor Violet whose boyfriend got mindwiped and she didn’t know. Just a little bit awkward. Though, it all works out in the end. Pixar movies can always be counted on to end nicely. If you want to buy the movie, you can preorder the video on Prime Video here. Well, that’s all for today, Sparkles, but you can come back Monday for another historical post. Sparkles away!
