This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?

Hey Sparkles! Happy Friday! For today’s blog post, I am writing about my fourth college visit, to the University of Tampa.

The University of Tampa is among one of the 170 universities representing the top 5% in the USA. They are a private school, recognized globally, with little to no student debt. The students there are metropolitan, cosmopolitan, and independently far from home.

I think the best part of the whole university was the weather. It was nicely warm and sunny, with just the right amount of wind to make it not too hot.

Because this was a build-your-own college visit day, I got to see the honors program presentation and the entrepreneurship building. The entrepreneurship building was really nice, because it had a Starbucks on the bottom floor, and a beautiful view. There were also these things called “Think Pods,” which were cubicle-like study spaces exclusively for business majors.

I was also able to audition for the musical theater program, just to gain experience. The feedback from the drama professor was really helpful and constructive.

The Honors program was also very interesting, not only because of the community of smart individuals who are driven to work hard, but because of the opportunities available through the program. The first opportunity is being able to live in a honors-only dorm, which sounds pretty cool. Next, they had speaker symposiums, where you sit down with a professor and get honors credit for discussion-based learning. Also, they had lots of study abroad opportunities, including a semester at Oxford University.

I also liked that the University of Tampa prioritized experiential learning, or hands-on learning. This is a big thing for me, because I love hands-on projects and learning by doing.

Well, that’s all for today, Sparkles. Be sure to subscribe to my email list to follow me on my journeys. Thanks for reading, and Sparkles away!!!
