30 Acts of Kindness for Kids

Hey Sparkles! Happy Friday! For today’s Family Friday blog post, I am writing about 30 March Madness Acts of Kindness for the month of March.

  • March 1 – Compliment someone. It will make both them and you feel good inside. Who knows, maybe you’ll brighten someone’s day.
  • March 2 – Smile at everyone you see. It would be fun to play a game to see how many people you can get to smile by smiling at them.
  • March 3 is National Wildlife Day. Research fun facts about an animal you don’t know much about.
  • March 4 – Visit a nursing home. Old people love children.
  • March 5 – Share your toys with siblings. It makes them feel happy when you include them in your fun.
  • March 6 – Be kind to yourself. Try doing something that makes you happy.
  • March 7 – Give someone a gift. It can be big or small, just give it to them, just because.
  • March 8 is International Women’s Day. Dive into the history of a woman who made an impact on history.
  • March 9 – Remind a forgetful friend that Daylight Savings Time is tomorrow.
  • March 10 – Send an encouraging text or email to a friend. It will help them so much to know that someone cares about them.
  • March 11 – Support small and independent business in your community. Local businesses love your business.
  • March 12 – Give someone a hug. “Hi, I’m Olaf, and I like warm hugs.”
  • March 13 – Write kind words on rocks and leave them at a park for others. When people find them, it will make them happy.
  • March 14 – Offer to help someone with a big to-do list. They will appreciate your help.
  • March 15 – Make someone a surprise drink. You can do a hot drink, cold drink, or whatever will make them happiest.
  • March 16 – Write for fun: whether it’s a story, poem or in your journal – put your pen to paper.
  • March 17 is St. Patrick’s Day. “Accidentally” drop a dollar to make a stranger feel lucky.
  • March 18 – Slip a note of gratitude under a family member’s door. Thank them for something, however big or small.
  • March 19 – Hide a friendly note in a public place.
  • March 20 is International Happiness Day. Do five things that make you happy.
  • March 21 – Write a letter to someone you haven’t talked to in a while. They will appreciate it.
  • March 22 – Lend a friend your favorite book or film.
  • March 23 – Let someone know you’re thinking of them. You’d be surprised by how touched people will be.
  • March 24 – Learn how to say hello in 10 different languages. I know how to say “hello” in English, Spanish, French, Italian, and American Sign Language.
  • March 25 – Start reading a book that has been collecting dust on your shelf.
  • March 26 – Help clean up a mess without being asked. Even if the mess is just your room, your family will appreciate it.
  • March 27 – Share your favorite life advice with someone. Just a snippet works.
  • March 28 – Leave a positive comment on a social media post you enjoyed.
  • March 29 – Make a bird feeder with your family. These are fun, however, they are messy, so do it outside.
  • March 30 – Ask others to continue the acts of kindness.
