This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?

Hey Sparkles! Happy Friday (again)! This week was my parents’ 19th wedding anniversary. For today’s Family Friday blog post, I am writing about a movie I recently watched called The Pacifier.

The Pacifier is a movie about a macho Navy SEALS man, Shane Wolfe, (played by Vin Diesel) who is tasked with babysitting the five children (Tyler, Peter, Lulu, Seth, and Zoe) of the dead professor he was unable to save. He soon learns that children aren’t as easy to command as Navy officers.

The children are rebellious at first and are in a sorry state after their dad died, but Shane quickly wins them over by saving them from bullies, failing grades, and dirty diapers.

Zoe is failing driver’s ed, Seth is delinquent from the wrestling team, Lulu is having trouble with the boy scouts getting into her cookies and not letting her sell them, Peter is little and wants his special dance done so he can sleep at night, and Tyler is just a baby. Shane teaches Zoe to drive, beats up Seth’s wrestling teacher, and helps Seth discover his passion in life, teaches Zoe and her troop to beat up their bullies, and takes care of Peter and Tyler.

The action in the movie was driven by the highly coveted GHOST program, which disabled enemy technology. Hidden in the family home was the GHOST program, and the key to the safe was in a safety deposit box in Germany.

The movie was so funny even my mother was transfixed, and laughed, and cried with the rest of us. I highly recommend this movie, not only for the laugh factor but for the emotional lessons we learn along the way about sticking together as a family. Oh, and also the side romance between Shane and the beautiful Principal at the children’s school.

Well, that’s all I have for today, Sparkles. I hope you enjoyed this post, and that you go check out the movie for yourself. Thanks for reading, and Sparkles away!!!
