Gone With the Wind
I have now watched the movie Gone With the Wind and I wanted to give you a review. Gone With the Wind was a true classic, and I have now furthered my cultural literacy by watching this movie. I see why it is a classic; it isn’t a fairy tale where everyone lives happily ever after. It has ups and downs and an entire roller coaster. Unfortunately, being about the Civil War, it has a lot of blood and touchy subjects. I would recommend everyone ages 10 and older to watch it, no one younger, especially if they are sensitive to blood and violence. I also really liked how the main character, Scarlett, changed; from a saucy southern belle to a drunk two time widow, married again. Through tragedy in life, Scarlett O’Hara Hamilton Kennedy Butler came out a different person; understanding that life was not a fairy tale like she had always thought.
If you would like to buy the movie to watch, here is a link to watch the version I watched: The Two Cd 70th Anniversary edition. This version of the movie is about four hours long. I am sorry I did not get to experience this civilization in the first part of the movie, but it truly is “Gone With the Wind.”
Thanks for reading, sparkles. I hope this wasn’t too depressing for you. By the way, if y’all are Sparkles then I must be The Sparkler.
