Hey Sparkles! Happy Wednesday! For today’s Wednesday Wisdom post, I am writing some wisdom from Proverbs 10, because today is April 10.
A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother. Proverbs 10:1 – We want to be wise, not foolish because being foolish makes your parents unhappy.
Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit, but righteousness delivers from death. Proverbs 10:2 – Don’t think you can get away with wickedness money. We want to be righteous so we are delivered from death.
A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. Proverbs 10:4 – Lazy people are not rewarded, only people with a good work ethic.
He who gathers in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who brings shame. Proverbs 10:5 – We want to be prudent, not shameful. Once again, we see that laziness is never rewarded.
The wise of heart will receive commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin. Proverbs 10:8 – Listen to people who are wiser than you. Don’t just talk nonsense.
Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses. Proverbs 10:12 – Don’t hate people. It stirs up strife.
The wise lay up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool brings ruin near. Proverbs 10:14 – Once again, we see that fools running their mouth are a bad idea. Store up your knowledge if you want to be wise.
Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof leads others astray. Proverbs 10:17 – Always follow instructions.
The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it. Proverbs 10:22 – If you follow God’s direction in your life, he will make you happy rich, not sad rich. Trust in God.
Well, that’s it for today, Sparkles. I hope you enjoyed this Proverbs 10 wisdom. Which verse stuck out to you? Tell me in the comments below. Thanks for reading, and Sparkles away!
