The road dog story (A Peavey adventure)
Hey Sparkles! How are you doing today? Happy Family Friday! Today’s blog post is about a stubborn dog my family nearly ran over not too long ago. I call it “The Road Dog Story.”
The dog story
We were on our way home from a field trip to the Shakespeare Tavern on a rather rural road when suddenly, we saw a dog standing in the middle of the road. The dog was not crossing the road, just kind of chilling in the middle of the road on our side. Well, my mother was not going to just run the dog over, so she did the only logical thing to do and tried to get around it. The dog kept moving so that wherever we were, he was directly in our way. There were also two other dogs on the other side of the road inside a fence who was barking and barking at the dog in the road. I think they were trying to tell him to move out of the road. That dog does not listen very well or was ignoring their advice one. He would not move off the road.
By that time, several cars were behind us, and they were honking their horns to tell us to hurry up and go. After about ten minutes into this crazy mess, the dog decided to move off our lane and let us go. Finally! Now that I think about it, it was rather funny, though at the time it was extremely annoying to have to sit there.
Well, that’s all for today, Sparkles. I hope you liked this blog post and this story. I knew I just had to share it with all my Sparkles. I am thinking about designing a t-shirt for my Sparkles that show their support of my blog. Tell me in the comments what you think of this idea. Thanks for reading, and Sparkles away!!!
