Stone Mountain Park Lasershow
Hey Sparkles! Happy Friday! For today’s Family Friday blog post, I am writing about my family going to Stone Mountain Park to see the Lasershow Spectacular, in MountainVison*
Luckily, before the Lasershow started, we got to watch the glass blowing demonstration. The guy turned a couple of pieces of glass into a beautiful flower. It was very cool.
Here are a few pictures.
Then, my family went to the Lasershow Lawn and blew bubbles until dark thirty. We were smart and bought our bubbles ahead of time so we didn’t have to pay for the overpriced bubbles sold on the lawn. The cool thing about that was them being scented bubbles, so they smelled good. Mine smelled like strawberries. Yum!
Each child had their favorite color. I had red = strawberry. Gloria had green – granny smith apple. Grace had yellow = lemon. Joy had blue = blueberry. Victoria had pink = watermelon. Hannah had the unscented bubbles (there were no more scented ones available.)
Here are a few pictures of my family blowing bubbles.
Then, as it got dark, we settled back to watch the Lasershow. The overlying theme of the Lasershow is inside a library, and a little boy is exploring the different sections of the library and it plays different songs from each one. My favorite song is The Devil Went Down to Georgia, but I don’t like the fire effect. The funniest part is when the Star Wars battle happens, and the mountain breaks open.
The Stone Mountain Park Lasershow was very good. It is nice to see how they have combined the classic old-timey feel with the new technology available. They also make quite a few pop culture references, including ”How Far I’ll Go” from Moana and ”Let it Go” from Frozen.
Well, that’s all for today, Sparkles. How did you like this post? Be sure to tell me in the comments below. Also, be sure to register for Setting the Stage Summer Camp here. Thanks for reading, and Sparkles away!
